Hello zarkenpachi & welcome

You may need to install vbrun 6.0 first then run CaSIR

http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/install/6/win98me/en-us/vbrun60.exe

Technical support:: I didn't get the software activation email!
OK I got the keycode in less than 24 hours - perhaps I was being a little too frantic!
I had an awful bunch of virus/malware's and I tried several other software/malware anti software packages but nothing got it all and it just kept coming back!

A hint for those reading this...once you get it activated it may not appear like it is...just because the buttons are grayed out does not mean it isn't active. If it isn't activated it won't be able to remove the virus's or malware. Once you 'activate' it - checkmark anything that is open to checkmark! This program is smart enough that it doesn't need to run all those other scan selections. It will only open up a scan selection where it is needed. Kind of nice to not have to run everything only to find out you didn't have to. Run the scan. Double check the scan is running it may look like it is but if it does not actually show running files across the bottom of the scan status area – then you need to click again on the scan button: RRT is running AFTER I RAN ANOTHER ANTIVIRUS product and after I ran ANOTHER ANTI-MALWARE product.
Both said my machine was clean...it wasn't and I could tell it wasn't quite right so far 5 more Malware-Win32's have been found and destroyed...finally my computer is back to normal ~ I am sold on this product…Love it!!!

Technical support:: files after running scan
Hello bigbill1961

Apparently CaSIR didn't find any infection other wise it would have given you an alert, if you need more info, You see the log file called casirrpt.txt, open it with Notepad and see it's contents.

The file casirdef.cas is the database file of CaSIR, CaSIR doesn't work without it. It's important.
The file Thumbs.db is a system file for current folder thumbnails, it's not important, you can delete it.

Thank you

Technical support:: How to run rrt in many computer?
RRT Personal Edition (PE) can be used on one single computer where the Enterprise Edition (EE) can be used on unlimited number of computers. Personal Edition is good for home users or people who have only one computer to fix, Enterprise Edition is made for users who own more than 10 computers or for computer repair centers as their work needs them to repair their clients computers every day.

If you are a licensed user of PE you can upgrade to EE and save 25% of the price, if you wish to upgrade, email the sales dep. and ask for an upgrade code.

Please do not reply here, this board is only for users whom cannot be reached by email

Thank you
